A hostel on Maneenopparat Road
Potae’s House is at 114/1 Maneenopparat Road in Sripoom, near the northern side of Chiang Mai’s Old City. Its accommodation includes a private king room and dormitory beds. The published inventory distinguishes a ten-bed mixed dormitory from six-bed female and mixed options, so room selection changes the experience substantially.
This is accommodation organised around shared spaces and facilities. Air conditioning and a terrace are listed, together with laundry, bicycle rental and a paid shuttle. These practical services are worth distinguishing from the atmosphere of the dorm itself, which also depends on other guests.
Curtains, breakfast and places to sit
Thiago’s September 17, 2024 Google account described clean beds and bathrooms, bed curtains and strong air conditioning that could feel too cold at night. Breakfast during that visit consisted of toast, fruit and spreads.
Andy, writing on October 9, 2024, appreciated the communal fridge and microwave, green tea and coffee, and places both to socialise and sit more quietly. Marnie’s July 31, 2025 account also praised helpful staff, clean amenities and a basic complimentary breakfast. Those reports give the hostel a more specific character than its room list alone: an inexpensive shared base with useful communal provisions.

Bathroom privacy needs attention
Amilia’s December 2, 2024 account raised a specific concern about a glass panel in the women’s bathroom door beside a hallway used by men. That is one guest’s dated observation, and the present configuration may differ, but it is relevant for someone choosing a female dormitory for privacy.
Bed curtains and bathroom privacy address different needs. Anyone for whom the latter determines whether a hostel is suitable should establish the current arrangement before selecting a bed.
