A wooded base in Ban Du
Bura Resort is at 244 Moo 13, Ban Huafai, Ban Du, outside Chiang Rai city. The Water Front Villa category is listed at forty square metres, with a balcony, refrigerator, air conditioning and housekeeping. A restaurant, self-parking and airport shuttle are advertised; confirm shuttle timing, charges and breakfast terms for the selected rate.
The setting includes decks facing interconnected ponds and landscaped waterfalls. Those features should not be interpreted as proof of a swimming pool. Choose the room for the wooded surroundings and outdoor sitting space only if that matches the stay you want.
Guests favour space and practical help
Holly’s Expedia review dated 6 February 2025, after a February stay, praised a large room and bathroom, shower, tub, breakfast and staff, finding the out-of-town location convenient with a car. Katharine’s 23 January review after a December 2024 stay appreciated the balcony and breakfast. Stanley, reviewing on 19 January 2025, described staff arranging a local driver for temple, pottery and coffee-farm outings.
A separate Tripadvisor review in March 2025, following a February stay, enjoyed jungle sounds and mentioned nearby cafés and a rough waterfall trail. That is a guest’s description of an outing, not an established walking route suitable for every traveller.

Settle transport before the stay
Agree how trips into town and local excursions will work, especially without a car. Confirm access to the booked villa and the facilities that matter to you. Bura merits consideration for a quieter wooded base, with the actual room and transport plan carrying more weight than a broad waterfront label.
