An inland address rather than a beachfront stay
The Best Hostel is listed at 18/22 Moo 1, Sairee, Koh Tao. It is an inland base from which guests have walked to the beach. Obtain precise arrival directions: Scott C’s April 2017 account found it difficult to locate initially, even though the walk into town was manageable.
The managed Tripadvisor description lists air-conditioned dorm rooms and shared bathrooms with hot showers. Expedia’s inventory includes a bed in a 14-bed mixed dormitory. Confirm the dorm size and bathroom arrangements attached to your own reservation.
Simple communal accommodation
Scott liked the beds and showers and described picnic tables for socialising, with a pool-table area next door. IlkaYNakamura’s September 2018 account described a clean, usually quiet place within walking distance of the beach.
Laura H’s August 2016 review praised clean dorms and helpful taxi arrangements, but reported that no dorm keys were provided and the entrance stayed unlocked at night. This is a historical observation, not a statement about present security. Ask how access and lockers work now.
